OneLayer is seeking a seasoned, hands-on IT Manager to lead our internal IT operations and infrastructure. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on ownership, precision, and cross-functional collaboration. You'll be the central figure driving IT excellence across the company, ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

As our IT Manager, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the backbone of OneLayer's IT systems. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to support a growing organization with robust, reliable, and secure infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and a service-oriented mindset. You'll be trusted to make decisions, solve problems proactively, and drive continuous improvement across our IT landscape.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Infrastructure Leadership: Lead corporate and lab IT including on-premise systems, networking, and secure hybrid connectivity. Own identity and cloud access governance (Entra/M365), partnering with DevOps for production cloud environments
  • Identity & Access Management: Administer and optimize Active Directory, SSO, and role-based access controls to ensure secure and efficient user provisioning
  • Endpoint & Device Management: Oversee company-wide device lifecycle management, including laptops, workstations, and mobile devices. Implement policies for patching, updates, and compliance
  • Security & Compliance: Collaborate with security and legal teams to enforce IT policies, support audits, and maintain compliance with industry standards. Utilize platforms such as Fortinet, Cloudflare, and Palo Alto to ensure robust protection
  • Lab & Office IT Support: Maintain and improve lab setups and office IT infrastructure, including VPNs, firewalls, and hardware provisioning
  • Network & Server Management: Administer and maintain Cisco switches, server hardware, and virtualization environments. Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability
  • Vendor & License Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, and hardware suppliers. Track and optimize license usage and renewals
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Serve as the primary IT point of contact for internal teams, ensuring smooth onboarding, troubleshooting, and system access

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, or infrastructure engineering (Required)
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, Active Directory, and enterprise networking (Required)
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM) and security platforms such as Fortinet, Cloudflare, and Palo Alto (Required)
  • Experience with network and hardware management including Cisco switches, server management, and virtualization platforms (Required)
  • Proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools including Microsoft 365, Teams, and Slack (Required)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders (Required)
  • Working experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with CMDB integrations and ITSM workflows (Preferred)
